Beef Carpaccio

This dish is naturally low-carb and will be the perfect appetizer to jazz up your keto life.


For the Beef Carpaccio
  • 0.8 lbs. filet mignon (appx. 1 filet)
  • 2 cups mixed greens
  • 2 tablespoons shaved red onion
  • 2 tablespoons capers
  • 3 tablespoons horseradish sauce (recipe below)
For the Horseradish Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayo


For the Beef Carpaccio
  1. Thinly slice your beef into shavings (slice while beef is frozen) and put into medium bowl. Put one tablespoon of horseradish sauce in bowl and a pinch of salt. Gently mix to give the beef a slight coating.
  2. Put mixed greens in another bowl and mix in two tablespoons of horseradish sauce.
  3. Plate your appetizer. You should use two separate plates so that your greens and beef don't pile up on the plate. We want this to lay flat and not be bulky looking.
  4. Plate your greens first. Sprinkle on red onion shavings. Next, put on your beef. And finally, top with capers.
For the Horseradish Sauce
  1. Mix together in bowl.
