Keto Maryland Crab Soup


  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 ribs celery, diced
  • 5 oz. frozen cut okra
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots mix
  • 1 jalapeno cut in half vertically
  • 6 sprigs thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (28 oz.) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups seafood stock
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 lb. lump crab meat


  1. Heat 2 teaspoons of olive oil in large pot to medium heat. Add onion, garlic, celery, okra, peas and carrots, jalapeno, thyme, and bay leaf. Let cook and soften for 5 minutes, then add the rest of the ingredients, except for the crab meat and lemon juice.
  2. Bring to a boil, cover, then reduce heat to low to let it simmer for at least 30 minutes. When ready to serve, add in crab meat and lemon juice. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then serve it up with some keto bread!
