- half of a lemon
- Put a steamer basket in a large pot and fill with water so that it reaches just under the basket. Squeeze a little lemon juice into the water and add a tablespoons of salt. Boil.
- Place artichokes in the steamer basket stem-side up. Cover with lid and steam until the heart is tender, about 30 minutes.
- Serve with melted butter.
